I have never asked for help in this way. Ive done the best I can for my family and have always been there for them.
In 2005 my Mom spent most of the year in OSU hospital. We almost lost her due to the complications that arose from her many internal problems. After almost losing her in June she rallied around and got better. They released her from the hospital but she had to go to a nursing home for 3 months to relearn to walk again.
She came home after 3 months and then 1 week later she fell and broke her hip. Back to the hospital and off to the nursing home again to relearn to walk.
In December she was home for good. My husband, who I am separated from, bought a home for us. My mom and myslef and my son. Everything seemed to be working out until the mortgage company he went thru said he didnt send them the insurance papers in time and set up an escrow acct. This threw the payments in arrears and its snowballed from there. My house is up for sheriffs auction on the 26th of this month and we have no resources available to catch up the money they want...thats all back payments and the lawyers fees.
He contacted a company who says they might be able to help if theres enough equity in the home. If there isnt then we are back to square one. He also contacted a bankrupcy lawyer and they want 1300.00 up front to even start the proceedings.
I cant work at the moment. I stay at home to be with my mom. She has her social security and I dont need much. As long as shes taken care of and my son then Im happy.
We can afford a small repayment of any money loaned for the saving of the home. A repayment as in repaying the whole amts back, but small payments.
I know its asking alot, but my Moms 70 yrs old and has went thru alot in the last few yrs starting with the death of my sister in 1986 and my dad in 1991 and just recently the death of my oldest brother. He died in Oct of last year.
Please this is my last hope. I have tried to get help from many places and it just isnt there. I plan on returning to work as soon as my Mom can be by herself for short periods of time.
Thank you for any help.
